Meet Dr. Alan Szeto

Dr. Alan Szeto brings a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to modern dentistry, combining advanced training with a genuine commitment to personalized care. Born in Hong Kong, Dr. Alan spent his early years there before moving to the Boston area during middle school. His international background helps him connect easily with patients from many cultures, and he is fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin.

Dr. Alan earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tufts University. During his undergraduate studies, he also spent a year abroad at University College London in the United Kingdom, an experience that broadened his academic and cultural perspective. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine.

Following dental school, Dr. Alan completed a General Practice Residency at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey. This hospital-based program provided advanced experience in comprehensive care and complex treatment planning.

Known for his attentive and approachable style, Dr. Alan believes excellent dentistry begins with listening. He takes time to understand each patient’s goals and concerns, emphasizing education and clear communication so patients feel comfortable and confident in their care and their smile.
