Restore Your Smile with CEREC Restorations and Implants at BDS!

Restore Your Smile with CEREC Restorations and Implants at BDS!

At Brookline Dental Specialists, we can offer our patients the most advanced dental technology for not only crowns but restorations and implants as well! Our CEREC technology allows us to provide custom dental solutions that are created right in our office using our CEREC milling machine.

CEREC restorations and implants are made of an advanced ceramic material that can be perfectly matched to the shade of your natural teeth. When placed, the CEREC restoration or implant is fitted and polished to give it a superior finish that blends in seamlessly with your surrounding teeth.

What are Dental Restorations?

Dental restorations refer to the various treatments used to repair or replace damaged, decayed, or missing teeth structures. These restorations aim to restore the function, integrity, and aesthetics of your teeth, as well as to improve your overall oral health.

We can use our CEREC technology for these types of dental restorations:

  • Dental Fillings: Fillings are used to repair cavities caused by tooth decay. The decayed portion of the tooth is removed and the cavity is filled with a custom fitted CEREC filling.
  • Replacement Fillings: For many years, metal amalgam was used to fill teeth. Metal amalgam fillings are not only unsightly, but over time they can cause gum discoloration. Using CEREC, old amalgam fillings can be replaced with tooth-colored fillings that enhance the appearance of your smile.
  • Dental Bonding: With CEREC bonding, we can repair chipped, cracked, or discolored teeth. CEREC’s high quality ceramic can be matched to the exact shade of the injured tooth, making the repair unnoticeable.
  • Dental Inlays and Onlays: Also known as partial crowns, these restorations can be used to restore a tooth with extensive damage that cannot be repaired with a simple filling but does not require a full crown.

What are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are used to replace missing teeth. Dental implants are a long-term solution that fuses with the jawbone and supports a dental prosthesis like a crown, denture, or bridge.

The dental implant itself is a small, screw-like titanium post that is surgically placed into the jawbone. Once fused into the jawbone, dental implants provide a stable foundation for replacement teeth.

We use CEREC to create replacement teeth that are exactly fitted onto the post of the implant and that fit snugly against surrounding teeth. With proper care, a CEREC replacement tooth is durable and long-lasting, giving you a healthy, full set of teeth for years to come.

Implants can also be used to anchor bridges of two or more consecutive teeth or for dentures. With CEREC, these anchor teeth look and function just as a natural tooth would, allowing you to restore your smile with confidence.

With CEREC restorations and implants, you don’t have to wait weeks and schedule multiple appointments to restore the appearance of your smile. CEREC restorations and implants are created right in our office, using the advanced CEREC scanner and the in-house mill. CEREC eliminates the need for temporary fixes so restorations and implants are often ready for placement in less than an hour, allowing you to leave our office with a beautifully restored smile in just a single visit!
