Technology and TikTok: BDS in 2022!
At Brookline Dental Specialists, we can’t believe we are already at the end of 2022! Before we start to make our New Year’s resolutions, we’d like to take a moment to look back at what was new at BDS in 2022. Here are just a few of the highlights from the past year:
Providing our patients with the latest, most advanced technologies available is a top priority at BDS. In 2022, we were excited to be able to offer CEREC same-day crowns to our patients.
Our custom fit, long-lasting CEREC crowns are milled right in the office in about an hour or less, which means less time for your appointment and fewer trips to our office to get a crown! We value your precious time and with CEREC, and the Primescan digital workflow, we can offer the highest quality dental care and it does not require a day off work, or missing an after-school activity.
This year, we also added an annual wellness scan with our Itero scanner to our regular dental hygiene appointments. This means that once a year, you will receive a quick and painless scan that we can use to ensure your teeth stay healthy at no extra cost to you.
This scanner allows us to create a precise, detailed image of your mouth and teeth that can be used to plan treatment or to monitor the health of your teeth and gums over time. Your hygienist will scan your teeth and the dentist will review the digital impressions with you all in the same appointment.
Our dentists and clinical team worked over the past year to educate our patients about the sleep dentistry services offered at our practice including Botox injection therapy we can provide as a therapeutic treatment for migraine headaches, facial and jaw pain and TMJ. If you have chronic headaches or pain in your jaw, or if you clench or grind your teeth at night, or if you are snoring and not getting good sleep ask us about ways we can help at your next appointment.
In 2022, we welcomed a new general dentist to our practice! Dr. Chandini Shaikh is a graduate of Boston University, Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine and has practiced dentistry at multiple practices around Massachusetts. Dr. Shaikh is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Society.
Dr. Shaikh will be offering the high quality, convenient dental care our patients have come to expect from BDS. We believe she is a great addition to our dental team!

We are excited to add even more TikTok content in 2023. It’s a great way for us to introduce patients to our team, who are not only kind and caring but willing to drop everything to make the shape of a dental instrument!

Lost a retainer? With your iTero scan on file, getting a new Vivera retainer is as simple as stopping by our office to pick up the replacement!
